On May 26th, Interfaith Philadelphia together with communities around the region marked an unprecedented season of faith in the face of fear, as we began to emerge out of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Interfaith Philadelphia builds bridges between people and communities to create a more just and equitable society. Dr. Ala Stanford and Dr. Anthony Fauci, our 2021 Dare to Understand awardees, offered steady, trusted leadership at the local and national level, shepherding us through a public health crisis, with integrity and equity. Throughout the pandemic, they valued faith communities as vital to the fabric of our society. We, the interfaith community of Greater Philadelphia, are honored to recognize their leadership.

The event lifted up stories of frontline workers from all sectors—many hidden from public view—who have dared to serve. We looked back and acknowledge the toll of illness, loss and care-giving, and honor the sacrifice, service, and faith on the frontline. We looked ahead to ways that Interfaith Philadelphia, together with diverse community partners, will continue to heal, serve, and re-build thriving, beloved communities.
