Love Thy Neighbor Walk

Coordinating Faith-Based Support for Vulnerable Communities

Grounded in the shared moral call across faith traditions to Love Thy Neighbor, we invite you to join us for a nonpartisan information session on how our religious communities can support vulnerable neighbors, helping them minimize risk and connect to resources related to immigration and customs enforcement.

Philadelphia-area religious communities are asking, “What can we do?” This gathering connects faith leaders and their communities with organizations, already serving on the ground, so we can respond thoughtfully and in coordination with real needs. Together, we will:

  • Connect organizations providing services, advocacy, and direct action with faith communities seeking to help
  • Understand what help is needed, where it is needed, and how volunteers can assist responsibly
  • Strengthen communication and coordination across communities
  • Share knowledge on locations, needs, volunteer support, and primary contacts

Presenters

  • Charlie Elison, Executive Director, City of Philadelphia, Office of Immigrant Affairs
  • Victoria Sirois, Founder, Asylum Pride House
  • Cathryn Miller-Wilson, Esq., Executive Director, HIAS PA

Cost: FREE
