Trina A Gary, M.Ed.

Peer Learning Network Consultant

Trina Gary is an experienced independent school educator, administrator, and leadership coach with a demonstrated history of working in schools to affirm identity, build community and cultivate inclusive practice and programs. Trina is the CEO and Principal Consultant of Brown-Gary Associates, LLC; Founder and Executive Director of Independent Trust, a professional development and social impact network of independent school alumni of color; Director of Inner City Lacrosse, and a consultant with Diversity Directions, where she also works as the resident faculty during the week-long summer seminar. Trina also serves on the Board of Trustees at The Community Partnership School in Philadelphia, PA. Trina has held a variety of positions during her tenure in four independent schools.  She has served as Associate Dean of Faculty and Director of Multicultural Education, Associate Director of Admissions, academic advisor, and as an Instructor in English and history.  Trina has also served on the summer faculty of the Gardner Carney Leadership Institute (gcLi).  

Trina holds an M.Ed. in Leadership in Learning and Instruction from Northeastern University, Boston, MA, and a BA in Urban Studies with a concentration in Economics from Trinity College, Hartford, MA.  She and her partner, Michael Gary, are also the parents of three children
