Sasha Baken-Rennert

Intern

Rabbi Sasha Baken-Rennert was ordained in 2022 by the Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR). Following her ordination, she served for two years as Assistant Rabbi at Westchester Reform Temple (WRT) in Scarsdale, NY—her hometown and the community that nurtured her early Jewish identity.

Currently, Rabbi Baken-Rennert is pursuing a Master of Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania, deepening her commitment to spiritual care and community well-being. Her passion for interfaith engagement was first sparked during her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she explored the theological and cultural dimensions of the three major Abrahamic faiths.

She is excited to spend the summer with Interfaith Philadelphia, where she will continue to cultivate meaningful connections across religious and cultural lines and further her dedication to interfaith dialogue and collaboration.
