Nihad Kaiseruddin is a practicum intern with New Horizons Impact, supporting its business development work with Interfaith Philadelphia. She brings an engineer’s analytical approach to helping mission-driven organizations build the systems and relationships that sustain their work.

A chemical engineer by training, Nihad spent a decade in the hydrogen energy sector, progressing from applications sales engineering to sales and project management. Her work involved understanding complex systems, solving problems alongside customers, improving processes, and helping teams adopt new tools.

Throughout her career, Nihad has also remained committed to her community, from organizing educational programs to serving on the board of Manna on Main Street, a Montgomery County nonprofit providing food assistance. Today, she is bringing the skills and experience she developed in the corporate world to organizations advancing social and environmental impact.

Nihad is a second-year Master of Science in Nonprofit Leadership student at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy & Practice, where she focuses on fundraising and consulting.

Outside of work, she is usually organizing something, whether an event, a garden, or a puzzle. She also enjoys spending time in the karate dojo, running, and hiking.
