
Kavneet Singh Pannu

Kavneet Singh Pannu is the National Advocacy and Resource Director of the American Sikh Council. He holds an MBA from Rutgers University. He serves as a member with the Interfaith Philadelphia Religious Leaders Council, leading religious understanding and interfaith dialog since 2004. He has been actively involved with the Coalition of Peace Action, Princeton, NJ and the NRCAT, Washington, DC for two decades, working to promote peace and to stop torture.
He is the Founder and Chair of the National Sikh Scouts of America and a member of the Scouting America’s (SA) Religious Relationships Committee. Kavneet planned and implemented the four Sikh Religious Awards workbooks, and the Sikh emblems approved by SA. He led and did groundbreaking work on human rights for nearly four decades including holding conferences and publishing relevant books.
He helped publish a historic book on ‘Bullying of Sikh American Children’ and designed educational programs being taught across the nation. He was invited to speak at the World Anti-Bullying Forum Conference held Raliegh Convention Center, Raliegh, NC in Oct 2023. Kavneet has participated in the Sikh-Catholic Dialog since 2006 initiated by the Holy See.
He worked with the Princeton Seminary for two separate 30 min documentaries namely; “Drone Warfare: Moral and Safe?” and “The Religious Community and Drone Warfare”, being screened across the nation at churches, colleges, and other venues starting in the fall of 2017. He has been on the planning and fundraising team for the last four conferences of the Parliaments of World’s Religions (PoWR). He presented on three topics and moderated one panel at the 2023 PoWR, Chicago.
