Sr. Gloria Coleman, SHCJ
Sister Gloria helped to found Interfaith Philadelphia. Representing the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, she has been actively involved with ecumenism and interreligious affairs since 1973. Sr. Gloria served for many years as a leader of the Philadelphia Coordinating Council on the Holocaust, which offered workshops, conferences and training to teachers who provided Holocaust education. She also took many educational trips to Israel, traveled to the Soviet Union to advocate for the freedom of Soviet Jews, and helped to develop the first Jewish-Christian Dialogue curriculum in Philadelphia’s five -county area. Sr. Gloria is a member of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus and has held local, national, and international leadership roles in SHCJ.
