Gilana Levavi

Youth & Community Programs Intern

Gilana Levavi is passionate about pluralism.  She enjoys building connections and community with diverse individuals, thereby enriching her understanding of herself, others, and the world.  A native of the Philadelphia region, Gilana is excited for the opportunity to engage in interfaith work with Interfaith Philadelphia.


Gilana recently completed the International Peacemaking Program at Hartford Seminary, where she lived in community with peacemakers from around the world, studied with leading scholars to earn a graduate certificate in interfaith dialogue, and developed and practiced her interfaith engagement and peace-building skills.  She has a BA in religion and philosophy with a minor in psychology from Rutgers University.  At Rutgers, she served as co-president of a Muslim and Jewish focused interfaith student group.  Gilana teaches religious school and enjoys working with children and youth.
