Gateway to Religious Communities is a series coordinated by Interfaith Philadelphia where local congregations and religious communities open their doors to the public to share their faith tradition with curious visitors.

At these events you are able to:

  • Visit area congregations for worship services

  • Meet members from a variety of faith & belief communities

  • Ask questions – opportunity for dialogue with community leaders and members

  • Expand your faith experiences

Experience a morning worship service, tour the church, and participate in a Q&A with religious leaders. 

Philadelphia Sikh Society

Sunday, September 22 | 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Learn about the Sikh faith through a tour of the gurdwara, enjoy a langar meal, and participate in an interactive Q&A with congregants.

Islamic Society of Chester County

Saturday, October 12 | 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Learn about Islam through an introduction of the faith's basic principles, a Q&A with congregants, and observance of a prayer service.

Mantra Lounge

Wednesday, October 16 | 5:30 - 7:30 PM

Become familiar with the basics of the bhakti philosophy, experience mantra meditation, and learn about Krishna consciousness. Dinner included!

Philadelphia Ethical Society

Sunday, October 20 | 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Learn about the history, philosophy, and current structure and life of Ethical Culture, a non-theist, 140+ year old alternative to traditional religion.

Philadelphia Bahá'í Center

Saturday, November 9 | 1:00 - 3:00 PM

Attendees will hear an introduction to the Bahá'í faith, tour the sacred space, and take part in a Q&A.
