About the Symposium
How is religious life changing, what helps religious communities thrive, and how can we better prepare and support the leaders who serve them?
The Inter-Seminary Initiative Symposium will bring together seminary faculty, religious leaders, students, researchers, and community practitioners for a day of learning and conversation across religious traditions. Together, we will explore changing patterns of religious belonging and participation, the practices that sustain vital communities, and the implications for religious leadership and formation.
Drawing on current research, diverse religious perspectives, and examples from educational institutions and faith communities, participants will consider how to deepen belonging, strengthen leadership, and sustain vibrant religious communities in a changing religious landscape.
The symposium offers an opportunity to better understand the communities we serve, learn from the experiences of others, and build relationships that strengthen the work of preparing religious leaders and supporting thriving communities.
