About the event
One of these special presentations will be an Art of Interfaith Understanding guided tour and conversation led by our own Rev. John Hougen, Ph.D.! As part of Interfaith Awareness Week, we are happy to offer Art and Prayer in World Religions which will compare how art functions in the prayers of diverse traditions and in our own lives and explore:
- Art-Making as Prayer,
- Art as Mediator in Prayer, and
- Art that Models Prayer.
The Art of Interfaith Understanding is an opportunity to explore the Philadelphia Museum of Art and uses art as an entry point to interfaith engagement, and as a tool for inter-religious understanding.
