About the event
When we gather in sacred time, music in its many forms, calls to us. Whether instrumental, choral, call to prayer, chanting or percussion, we feel the power of its vibrations. Historically, there have been time periods and/or movements within our faith traditions where music has been restricted or censored all together. What is Music Doing?
We invite faculty and staff, department chairs, deans and presidents of area seminaries, to join in a day of Retreat to explore these themes. We invite you to experience one another’s musical traditions, with space for reflection and dialogue on: What does music do for us in our different religious communities?
The registration fee for this event is $25 and includes lunch. Lunch selections to follow.
